Resumen
En la primera infancia un reto es lograr que los niños y niñas aprendan a convivir, a socializar desde la empatía aprendiendo a compartir, respetar y aceptar al otro. En la actualidad a la institución educativa llegan estudiantes con un sin número de discapacidades, características socioculturales, étnicas, religiosas. Por lo tanto, se hace necesario mirar, ajustar y transformar la malla curricular del ciclo inicial de la IED Gerardo Paredes, para dar respuesta a la pregunta ¿De qué manera las transformaciones curriculares en el ciclo de educación inicial y preescolar favorecen el desarrollo infantil atendiendo a la condición de diversidad cultural y funcional de la niñez en la I.E.D Gerardo Paredes?, Este ejercicio investigativo se basa en el paradigma socio critico bajo la metodología de investigación acción, donde se aplican la técnicas de entrevista estructurada, cuestionario y el análisis de contenido.

Abstract
In early childhood, a challenge is to ensure that children learn to live together, to socialize based on empathy, learning to share, respect and accept others. Nowadays, students with a great number of disabilities, socio-cultural, ethnic, and religious characteristics arrive to the educational institution. Therefore, it is necessary to look at, adjust and transform the curriculum of the initial cycle of the IED Gerardo Paredes, to answer the question: How do the curricular transformations in the cycle of initial and preschool education favor child development taking into account the condition of cultural and functional diversity of children in the IED Gerardo Paredes? This research exercise is based on the socio-critical paradigm under the methodology of action research, where the techniques of structured interview, questionnaire and content analysis are applied.
