dc.description.abstractLa finca Parama Dham ubicada en el municipio de Tabio, Cundinamarca, cuenta con un pozo séptico que actualmente funciona de forma inadecuada, generando filtraciones y contaminación odorífera. Por lo tanto, este trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo diseñar un sistema de tratamiento para las aguas residuales domésticas generadas en la finca. Para su cumplimiento se abarcó un enfoque mixto, es decir, cualitativo y cuantitativo, y se definió un alcance descriptivo y correlacional, los cuales permiten definir estrategias de investigación. Primero, se hizo un diagnóstico social e institucional para identificar el manejo actual de las aguas residuales en la zona rural del municipio, a partir del cual se identificó un nivel de conocimiento bajo y la falta de seguimiento y control por parte de las instituciones involucradas. Segundo, se realizó una caracterización física, química y biológica del agua residual doméstica para determinar su estado actual, obteniendo como resultado de los parámetros más relevantes un valor de 5,37 × 106 NMP/100 ml para Coliformes Fecales y 37,5 × 106 NMP/100 ml de Coliformes Totales. Asimismo, se obtuvo un valor de 4,1 mg/L para Oxígeno Disuelto, 554 mg/L para DBO y 872,67 mg/L para DQO. Tercero, se desarrolló un análisis de alternativas por medio de una matriz, en la cual se llevó a cabo una preselección de los sistemas de tratamiento más acordes a las características visuales del territorio, para posteriormente calificarlos a través de una escala numérica y así obtener el sistema de tratamiento más adecuado a la finca, es decir, el humedal artificial. Finalmente, se definieron los aspectos técnicos del sistema seleccionado, es decir, se realizó el dimensionamiento de cada uno de las operaciones y procesos unitarios, su dibujo técnico, el ensamble de dicha propuesta, y se establecieron los costos requeridos para su implementación.spa
dc.description.abstractenglishThe Parama Dham farm located in the municipality of Tabio, Cundinamarca, has a septic tank that is working improperly, generating leaks and odor pollution. Therefore, the aim of this research is to design a treatment system for the domestic wastewater generated on the farm. For its fulfillment, a mixed method was used, which included qualitative and quantitative research, and a descriptive and correlational scope was defined, which allowed to define research strategies. First of all, a social and institutional diagnosis was made to identify how wastewater in the rural area of the municipality is being managed, where a low level of knowledge was identified and also the lack of follow-up and control by the institutions involved. Second, a physical, chemical and biological characterization of the domestic wastewater was carried out to determine its current state, where the most relevant parameters found where values of 𝟓,𝟑𝟕 × 𝟏𝟎𝟔 MPN / 100 ml for Fecal Coliforms and 𝟑𝟕,𝟓 × 𝟏𝟎𝟔 NMP / 100 ml of Total Coliforms. Likewise, a value of 4.1 mg / L was obtained for Dissolved Oxygen, 554 mg / L for BOD and 872.67 mg / L for COD. Third step was to analyze the alternatives by using a matrix, starting by the pre-selection of the treatment systems based on most of the visual characteristics of the territory, for later qualifying them through a numerical scale and thus, obtaining the treatment system best suited to the farm, which was found to be the artificial wetland. Lastly, the technical aspects of the selected system were defined, that is, the dimensioning of each of the unit operations and processes, its technical drawing, the assembly of the proposal, and the costs required for its implementation.eng
