dc.description.abstractObjetivo: Identificar la prevalencia y los principales factores de riesgo asociados a la infección por VPH 16 y VPH 18 en mujeres entre los 25-65 años que acudieron a una IPS de la ciudad de Bogotá. Metodología: Estudio descriptivo de corte transversal, que se realizará en 384 mujeres entre los 25 y 65 años tamizadas por medio de la prueba ADN-VPH en una IPS de la ciudad de Bogotá. La recolección de la información se realizará a través de la revisión de historias clínicas suministradas por el hospital, teniendo en cuenta los instrumentos y formatos pertinentes. Las variables de estudio serán, las variables cuantitativas que se analizarán por medio de medidas de tendencia central (promedio y mediana) y medidas de dispersión (variancia y coeficiente de variación). Por su parte, las variables cualitativas serán analizadas con frecuencias absolutas y frecuencias relativas porcentuales. Resultados: Actualización de los conocimientos relacionados con la prevalencia y factores de riesgo asociados a la infección generada por los serotipos del VPH 16/18 en mujeres en los 25-65 años que ya hayan iniciado relaciones sexuales, asistentes a la IPS seleccionada. Conclusiones: El presente estudio permitirá tener una visión más precisa acerca de los factores de riesgos presentes en la población bogotana para adquirir la infección por VPH 16 y VPH 18, así como de la prevalencia de la infección por estos serotipos. dc.description.abstractenglishObjective: To identify the prevalence and the main risk factors associated with HPV 16 and HPV 18 infection in women between 25-65 years of age who attended an IPS in the city of Bogotá. Methodology: Descriptive cross-sectional study, to be carried out in 384 women between the ages of 25 and 65 screened by means of the DNA-HPV test in an IPS in the city of Bogotá. The recollection of the information will be carried out through the review of medical records provided by the hospital, taking into account the pertinent instruments and formats. The study variables will be the quantitative variables that will be analyzed by means of measures of central tendency (average and median) and measures of dispersion (variance and coefficient of variation). For their part, the qualitative variables will be analyzed with absolute frequencies and relative percentage frequencies. Results: Updating of knowledge related to the prevalence and risk factors associated with infection by the HPV 16 and HPV 18 serotypes in women between the ages of 25-65 who have already initiated sexual relations, attending the selected IPS. Conclusions: The present study will allow to have a more precise vision about the risk factors present in the Bogota population for acquiring the infection by HPV 16 and HPV 18, as well as the prevalence of the infection by these serotypes.
