Ergospirometry is essential for the evaluation of cardiorespiratory fitness and exercise capacity of patients with chronic heart failure. Previous studies have found a transient excess respiratory exchange rate (RER) in the recovery phase of ergospirometry, but it has been found reduced in patients with heart failure and reduced ejection fraction, however, its full clinical significance is not understood. clearly. The objective of the present study was to describe the behavior of the RER in patients with chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction before and after 36 sessions of a cardiovascular rehabilitation program (RHBC). Before and after analytical pseudo-experimental study in patients with heart failure and reduced left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) who completed 36 sessions of a phase II cardiovascular rehabilitation program and who performed ergospirometry before and after the intervention at the Shaio Clinic Foundation. Data were taken from the clinic's program database.
