Resumen
Dentro de los trastornos clínicos con afección de la cognición, emociones, percepción y pensamiento, la esquizofrenia sin duda es uno de sus principales representantes. En cuanto al estigma, muchas de las percepciones negativas que tienen los pacientes sobre ellos mismos son extrapolación del estigma social, como la conformidad frente a creencias negativas con respecto a comportamiento y reacciones emocionales que se le atribuyen al esquizofrénico en términos de peligrosidad, incompetencia y falta de voluntad. Dado a la falta de información sobre la enfermedad, la capacidad de rehabilitación de los pacientes se ve muchas veces entorpecida, imposibilitando que sean ciudadanos de pleno derecho. Igualmente las conductas autoexcluyentes derivadas tienen repercusión en la funcionalidad social al generar conflicto en amistades, familia y vínculos amorosos los cuales suponen una potencial red de apoyo.
Con base a lo anterior, se pretende mediante este proyecto realizar un registro de la experiencia personal que tienen los pacientes con esquizofrenia, haciendo especial énfasis en las limitaciones a las que se ven enfrentados desde el ámbito social, laboral, económico y formativo, con el fin de darles voz propia. Este compilado tiene la intención de tener un acercamiento mucho más veraz a la realidad del autoestigma y cómo esta repercute en las áreas del individuo.

Abstract
Among clinical disorders that affect cognition, emotions, perception and thinking, schizophrenia is undoubtedly one of its main representatives. Regarding stigma, many of the negative perceptions that patients have about themselves are an extrapolation of social stigma, such as conformity to negative beliefs regarding behavior and emotional reactions that are attributed to the schizophrenic in terms of dangerousness, incompetence and unwillingness. Due to the lack of information about the disease, patients' ability to rehabilitate is often hindered, making it impossible for them to be full citizens. Likewise, the resulting self-exclusionary behaviors have an impact on social functionality by generating conflict in friendships, family and romantic ties, which represent a potential support network.
Based on the above, this project aims to make a record of the personal experience that patients with schizophrenia have, placing special emphasis on the limitations they face from the social, work, economic and educational spheres, with the aim of in order to give them their own voice. This compilation is intended to have a much more truthful approach to the reality of self-stigma and how it affects the areas of the individual.
