Resumen
La presente investigación es un estudio descriptivo simple enmarcado en el paradigma cuantitativo que tiene como intención dar respuesta a la pregunta ¿ Cuál es el nivel de estrés que manejan los docentes de básica primaria del IED Esmeralda Arboleda Cadavid en la ciudad de Bogotá? Para lograr este cometido se utilizó la escala tipo Likert de Estrés Docente ED6 en una muestra de maestras y maestros de la institución. Los marcos teórico y conceptual contemplaron la única variable a describir la cual es el estrés mientras que el referente normativo se enfocó en las leyes que contemplan todo lo relacionado con la salud y el bienestar docente. Para la metodología se llevó a cabo un análisis estadístico teniendo en cuenta cuatro aspectos sociodemográficos con el fin de establecer en qué grado se daba el fenómeno a partir de las cinco dimensiones de la prueba.
Como resultados se obtuvo que los docentes de básica primaria del IED Esmeralda Arboleda manejan un nivel medio de estrés, pero son renuentes a mostrar manifestaciones o hablar de ello ya que perciben el cuestionamiento de su bienestar como una intromisión que pone en tela de juicio su desempeño tanto personal como laboral, por lo que prefieren mantener sus dificultades en un plano bajo, realizando su labor de forma estoica, pero manteniendo una actitud optimista hacia lo que se avecina. Esto puede llegar a ser, sin embargo, algo contraproducente ya que un nivel medio de estrés tiene una posibilidad de que los síntomas se manifiesten si no se mitigan las causas y situaciones que lo desencadenan.

Abstract
The present research is a simple descriptive study framed in the quantitative paradigm that aims to answer the question: What is the level of stress handled by primary school teachers at the IED Esmeralda Arboleda Cadavid in the city of Bogotá? To achieve this goal, the ED6 Likert-type Teaching Stress scale was used in a sample of teachers from the institution. The theoretical and conceptual frameworks considered the only variable to describe, which is stress, while the normative reference focused on the laws that contemplate everything related to teacher health and well-being. For the methodology, a statistical analysis was carried out considering four sociodemographic aspects to establish to what degree the phenomenon occurred based on the five dimensions of the test.
The results showed that the primary school teachers at the IED Esmeralda Arboleda handle a medium level of stress, but they are reluctant to show manifestations or talk about it since they perceive the questioning of their well-being as an intrusion that calls into question their performance personal and professional, that is why they prefer to keep their difficulties on a low level, carrying out their work in a stoic way, but maintaining an optimistic attitude towards what lies ahead. This can be, however, counterproductive since a medium level of stress has a possibility of symptoms manifesting if the causes and situations that trigger it are not mitigated.
