Resumen
El propósito de esta investigación es revisar y profundizar en el concepto de blockchain, identificando las actividades empresariales donde es implementado, como los posibles efectos que está generando este tipo de tecnología. El estudio es de carácter exploratorio cualitativo documental, la unidad de análisis fueron documentos y artículos publicados en revistas indexadas en diferentes bases de datos, donde se encontró, que la tecnología blockchain es una tecnología disruptiva, tiene una gran aplicabilidad para diferentes actividades empresariales, resaltando actividades encaminadas a buscar una mayor eficiencia, confiabilidad y transparencia en sus procesos, aplicable a sectores como el agrícola, financiero, telecomunicaciones y medicina, además teniendo en cuenta que dada su estructura, es adaptable a un gran número de actividades empresariales, siendo las mencionados previamente, las que actualmente tienen una mayor aplicabilidad.
Blockchain, presenta características altamente diferenciales a otro tipo de tecnologías como seguridad, privacidad y descentralización, generando mayor confianza entre sus usuarios al eliminar los proveedores de confianza que actualmente son necesarios para llevar a cabo una operación, dado que de manera automatizada, obliga a cumplir las condiciones preestablecidas para poder continuar con el proceso, evitando de esta manera cualquier tipo de codicia o alteración humana que busque modificar algún tipo de información, lo que genera que se presente como una tecnología emergente, con gran aplicabilidad y confianza, que además genera un importante cambio en la era digital que actualmente viven a nivel organizacional diferentes empresas, eliminando todos los procesos ineficientes que lleva a cabo una empresa, presentando nuevas oportunidades para diferentes actividades organizacionales que buscan ser más competitivas.

Abstract
The purpose of this research is to review and deepen the concept of blockchain by identifying the business activities where it is implemented, as well as the possible effects that this type of technology is generating. The study is of a documentary qualitative exploratory nature, the unit of analysis were documents and articles published in journals indexed in different databases, where it was found that blockchain technology is a disruptive technology, it has great applicability for different business activities, highlighting activities aimed at seeking greater efficiency, reliability and transparency in its processes, applicable to sectors such as agriculture, finance, telecommunications and medicine, also taking into account that given its structure, it is adaptable to a large number of business activities, the aforementioned being previously, those that currently have greater applicability.
Blockchain, presents highly differential characteristics to other types of technologies such as security, privacy and decentralization, generating greater trust among its users by eliminating the trusted providers that are currently necessary to carry out an operation, since in an automated way, it forces compliance the pre-established conditions to be able to with the process, thus preventing any type of greed or human development that seeks to modify some type of information, which generates that it is presented as an emerging technology, with great applicability and trust, which also generates an important change in the digital age that different companies are currently experiencing at the organizational level, eliminating all the inefficient processes carried out by a company, presenting new opportunities for different organizational activities that seek to be more competitive.
