Bibliofaculty is a service of the Universidad El Bosque Library designed to enhance the scope and coverage of its portfolio. It also seeks, from an organizational approach, to strengthen communication with other units of the University and to obtain relevant information for its transformation with a bidirectional approach. This document seeks to present the Bibliofaculty service and validate its support in strengthening library services and its articulation with other academic units of the university during its operation. Bibliofaculty was piloted in September 2022 and implemented for all faculties in January 2023. A document review was conducted to investigate institutions or research addressing similar initiatives in other university libraries, finding a strong emphasis on information literacy (Baker & Gladis, 2016; Charles, 2019; Gilman et al., 2017; Gregory & McCall, 2016; Junisbai et al., 2016; Matthies, 2004; Shane, 2004). For the analysis of Bibliofaculty, we opted for a methodological analysis based on the logic model for service conceptualization (Yim et al., 2020), together with a mixed data approach, in which we analyzed data on library services and usage in relation to periods prior to its implementation, we also used information from surveys of faculty deans to complement the analysis with some considerations of the academic units. The results were evaluated from different strategic axes: articulation, usability, consolidation, training, perception and cost/efficiency. The Bibliofaculty service has allowed the University Library to establish strategies to strengthen its relationship with users and other units, coordinate efforts and capabilities, and generate a perception of closeness that promotes the initiative to use the library to solve information needs. However, further analysis is needed to follow up on its long-term consolidation process, as well as to maintain an incremental approach according to the information obtained on specific needs by academic unit.
