Crisis ecológica y los anestésicos inhalados en el marco de la justicia ambiental

dc.description.abstractLa crisis ecológica debe ser entendida desde múltiples perspectivas: cultural, política, económica y social. Por lo que las respuestas deben ser del mismo carácter complejo. Esto plantea discusiones morales nuevas que nos llevan a analizar nuestras acciones en la vida. Los anestésicos inhalados son sustancias contribuyentes en la depleción de la capa de ozono y contaminación de la atmosfera debido a sus características físico-químicas. En este trabajo se analizará desde una perspectiva de sustentabilidad la responsabilidad ética de la práctica médica de la anestesia inhalatoria en el marco de la justicia ambiental. Y se argumenta la necesidad de una responsabilidad ética colectiva con la atmosfera en la práctica de anestesia inhalatoria. Además, se proponen aportes a las políticas de hospitales verdes para incluir el cuidado de la atmosfera en esta práctica médica. Desde una perspectiva bioética, es importante considerar los efectos de los anestésicos inhalados en el medio ambiente y en la salud de las personas. Aunque estos medicamentos son necesarios para la práctica médica, es relevante evaluar su impacto ambiental y tomar medidas para reducir su contribución a la emisión de gases con efecto invernadero.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe ecological crisis must be understood from multiple perspectives: cultural, political, economic, and social. Therefore, responses should be equally complex in nature. This raises new moral discussions that prompt us to analyze our actions in life. Inhaled anesthetics are substances that contribute to ozone depletion and atmospheric pollution due to their physicochemical characteristics. This study will analyze, from a sustainability perspective, the ethical responsibility of inhalational anesthesia in the context of environmental justice. It argues for the need for collective ethical responsibility towards the atmosphere in the practice of inhalational anesthesia. Additionally, contributions are proposed to green hospital policies to include atmospheric care in this medical practice. From a bioethical perspective, it is important to consider the effects of inhaled anesthetics on the environment and human health. While these drugs are necessary for medical practice, it is relevant to assess their environmental impact and take measures to reduce their contribution to greenhouse gas emissions.
