Teledermatology is the implementation of telemedicine in the field of dermatology whose main objective is to expand the coverage of high-quality specialized medical care to rural, dispersed or low-resource areas, as well as to people with mobility limitations. During the COVID 19 pandemic it had tremendous growth. The objective of the present study is to describe the perspectives of Colombian dermatologists who have been exposed to teleconsultation in order to have epidemiological data that can be used in the future to improve patient care. For this purpose, a qualitative phenomenological study was implemented through semi-structured interviews in which questions were asked investigating the clinical, human, organizational, administrative and social categories. The citation analysis was done through the ATLAS-TI application. With this study, we can conclude that teledermatology is a useful modality for monitoring and diagnosing benign inflammatory diseases in which the resolution of images and videos will be a determining factor in diagnostic accuracy. Its greatest advantage is the possibility of providing care to rural areas.
