| spa |
dc.description.abstractenglish | In this paper I pursue two purposes. First, open a common ground between Wittgenstein and Gadamer in order to establish a dialogue between the two philosophers; I mean, I am looking for put them next to each other waiting that, their mutual proximity, give us clarity about both. We show that the Wittgenstein’s Lectures on aesthetics and the second part of Gadamer’s Truth and Method, especially the chapter “The historicity of understanding as hermeneutic principle”, converge in the attempt to develop a dualistic idea of science. Of course, in pursuit this purpose we will have to move the meaning of some of their theses. Secondly, I seek to highlight some points in which, I think, the contribution of both authors to the philosophy of social sciences is especially important. The problem of comprehension in social science carries with it the germ of a dualistic conception of the science. The historicism, from Dilthey, built for the natural sciences and human sciences a dualism based on an opposition between explanation and understanding. This controversy was developed with the reception of linguistic and hermeneutical approaches in social science, which took the lines of thought Wittgenstein-Winch and Gadamer-Heidegger. Secondly, to underline some points in which, I think, the contribution of both authors to the social sciences is especially important; this is one of the points where Wittgenstein and Gadamer can contribute to the social sciences. | eng |
