dc.description.abstractEste estudio analiza la relación entre ciertas condiciones sociales y demográficas y la probabilidad que un joven que pertenece a la fuerza laboral tenga un trabajo remunerado. Se utilizó un conjunto de datos de la GEIH y se aplicaron técnicas de Muestreo Probabilístico y Machine Learning. Los resultados muestran que el sexo, el nivel educativo, el estrato socio económico y el departamento de residencia son variables que tienen una relación con la probabilidad de empleo. Estos hallazgos pretenden dar un punto de vista sobre aquellos factores sociales que impactan el empleo juvenil en Colombia.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis study analyzes the relationship between certain social and demographic conditions and the probability that a young person who belongs to the labor force has a paid job. A GEIH dataset was used and Probabilistic Sampling and Machine Learning techniques were applied. The results show that gender, educational level, socioeconomic stratum and department of residence are variables that have a relationship with the probability of employment. These findings are intended to give a point of view on those social factors that impact youth employment in Colombia.
