dc.description.abstractIntroducción: La pubertad precoz central (PPC) implica la estimulación temprana del eje HHG. El tratamiento con LHRHa es una de las terapias que previene la progresión de la pérdida de estatura. En este estudio se describe el comportamiento antropométrico y auxológico en niñas con PPC tratadas con LHRHa. Método: Se realiza un estudio descriptivo, retrospectivo y longitudinal, con 112 pacientes de sexo femenino con PPC que asistieron a consulta de endocrinología pediátrica en dos IPS en la ciudad de Bogotá, con un seguimiento por 10 años. Se dividió la muestra en 2 grupos según su resultado sobre la talla final. Resultados: El grupo 1(62) y grupo 2 (50). El 74,2% de las pacientes alcanzaron su talla medio parental +/2 cm, un 14,2% gano más de 5 cm en su talla final y un 9,8% perdio más de 5 cm en su talla final. Al inicio del tratamiento para ambos grupos: Edades entre 5 a 11 años, talla entre 111.7 cm a 147.9 cm, IMC percentiles (60 a 90) y DS (0 a 1), estadio de Tanner M (2 a 3). En el grupo 1 se observó mejores resultados en edades de inició menor de 9.5 años, índice maduracional rápido (>1,1), tiempo de tratamiento menor de 3 años y edad de menarquia (11,5 a 12 años), la talla, el IMC y la edad ósea al inicio no presentaron diferencia entre los grupos. Conclusión: La edad mostró un beneficio al iniciar tratamiento temprano, el índice maduracional rápido, la edad de menarquia, duración tratamiento <3 años mostraron respuesta favorable al tratamiento con LH.spa
dc.description.abstractenglishIntroduction: Central precocious puberty (CPP) involves the early stimulation of the HHG axis. Treatment with LHRHa is one of the therapies that prevent the progression of loss of height. This study describes the anthropometric and auxologic behavior in girls with CPP treated with LHRHa. Method: A descriptive, retrospective and longitudinal study was conducted with 112 female patients with PPC who attended a pediatric endocrinology medical centers in the city of Bogotá, with a 10-year follow-up. The sample was divided into 2 groups according to its result on the final height. Results: Group 1 (62) and group 2 (50). 74.2% of the patients reached their average parental height +/- 2 cm, 14.2% gained more than 5 cm in their final height and 9.8% lost more than 5 cm in their final height. At the start of treatment for both groups: Ages between 5 and 11 years, height between 111.7 cm and 147.9 cm, BMI percentiles (60 to 90) and DS (0 to 1), Tanner M stage (2 to 3).
