The infectious disease caused by Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) is produced by a virus from the Coronaviridae family, isolated in December 2019 from the first reported cases in Wuhan, China (1). Currently, due to the close genetic similarity of approximately 79% with the previous SARS-CoV coronavirus outbreak, the virus is recognized as SARS-CoV-2 (5). Diagnostic imaging is used for both the diagnosis and follow-up of COVID-19. However, the presentation of the disease is highly variable, and the relationship between comorbidities and the disease presentation is not well understood. To understand the relationship between the baseline comorbidities of COVID-19 patients and the presentation in chest imaging (radiography and computed tomography) at the time of diagnosis.
