La esencia de esta práctica empresarial la constituye el ánimo de perfeccionar los conocimientos adquiridos y crear fortalezas en el campo específico de la gestión ambiental; reconocida como una herramienta muy actual para guiar las empresas interesadas en mejorar su desempeño ambiental en el marco de la responsabilidad social empresarial. Para asistir este proceso dinámico, se trazaron objetivos que guiaran el trabajo a realizar en la empresa, buscando articularla con el proceso formativo y académico que implica la práctica. En primera instancia se examinaron los elementos del Sistema de Gestión Integral (SGI) y se reconocieron los elementos generales de los sistemas de gestión; a partir de los cuales se plantearon las actividades que condujeran al cumplimiento de los objetivos planteados. Dado que los sistemas de gestión nacieron con el fin de ayudar a que las empresas mejoren continuamente, el aporte debe conducir a esta gran meta; por lo que se evaluaron algunos aspectos relevantes, para asistir el cumplimiento de dicho objetivo. Entre los puntos que se evaluaron, se encuentran aspectos ambientales, que pueden ser mejorados para contribuir con el avance en el manejo adecuado del ambiente. Otros temas muy importantes que fueron valorados, lo constituyen las metas programadas por el SGI, en los temas ambientales y de salud ocupacional. Por último se participó en la auditoria interna, la cual pretendía evaluar el cumplimiento de los objetivos, metas y programas correspondientes a cada proceso operacional. En perspectiva, la empresa cuenta con un sistema ágil y versátil, que se amolda a las nuevas exigencias del mundo y de su propio desarrollo.

Abstract
The essence of this business practice is the desire to improve the knowledge acquired and create strengths in the specific field of environmental management, recognized as a very current tool to guide companies interested in improving their environmental performance within the framework of corporate social responsibility. To assist this dynamic process, objectives were outlined to guide the work to be done in the company, seeking to articulate it with the training and academic process involved in the practice. In the first instance, the elements of the Integrated Management System (IMS) were examined and the general elements of management systems were recognized; from which the activities that would lead to the fulfillment of the proposed objectives were proposed. Since management systems were created with the purpose of helping companies to continuously improve, the contribution should lead to this great goal; therefore, some relevant aspects were evaluated to assist the fulfillment of this objective. Among the points that were evaluated, there are environmental aspects that can be improved to contribute to the progress in the adequate management of the environment. Other very important issues that were evaluated were the goals programmed by the IMS in environmental and occupational health issues. Finally, the company participated in the internal audit, which was intended to evaluate compliance with the objectives, goals and programs corresponding to each operational process. In perspective, the company has an agile and versatile system that adapts to the new demands of the world and its own development.
