Abstract

The COVID 19 disease has changed the way psychotherapy is performed. Because of the way the virus is transmitted, face-to-face processes became more difficult and remote services became the best option to treat the mental health of the population during pandemic times. Through the systematic review supported by databases such as: PubMed, Science Direct, Redalyc, Academic Google, Proquest, Web Science, Scopus and APA, eleven implemented interventions were reviewed in the spectrum of mood disorders. As a result, the importance of cognitive behavioral therapy as the main technique to address mood disorders through video calls is evident, this allows a greater attachment to treatment and reduction of prevalent symptoms. Mood disorders have been studied with relational diagnoses, which would open a broad view to telepsychology as a therapeutic resource. However, it has not been possible to fully understand the needs of other disorders such as: dysthymia, cyclothymia, premenstrual dysphoric, and mood disruption of which so far, no evidence was found to be addressed from the field of telepsychology intervention in times of COVID-19 pandemic. Key words: Telepsychology, Interventions, COVID-19, Mood Disorders.
