Resumen
El objetivo del proyecto es realizar la adaptación de tres (3) canciones clásicas del rock a estilo jazz fusión en formato trío, basándose en las técnicas usadas por Alex Skolnick en su banda Alex Skolnick Trio, específicamente en sus álbumes Goodbye to Romance y Transformation, Es un proyecto de investigación-creación. Ya que las adaptaciones se harán en el formato trío, la responsabilidad melódica y armónica recae sobre el guitarrista, haciendo que este tenga que hacer todas las melodías empleando chord melody. Esto desarrollará las capacidades del guitarrista a la hora de realizar chord melodies, y a su vez, mejorará su técnica en la ejecución chord melodies, para que suene lo más limpio y claro posible. El proyecto se llevó a cabo realizando transcripciones de tres (3) canciones originales y las respectivas versiones de Alex Skolnick. Posteriormente, se realizó un análisis comparativo para saber cómo Alex Skolnick adaptó las canciones. El siguiente paso fue escoger tres canciones clásicas de rock y, con los resultados del análisis comparativo, usar las herramientas que Alex emplea para la adaptación de canciones.El resultado de toda la investigación son tres (3) canciones de rock, adaptadas al estilo jazz fusión en formato trío, las cuales son Mr. Blues Sky, de Electric Light Orchestra, Wish You Were Here, de Pink Floyd, y Home Sweet Home, de Mötley Crüe.

Abstract
The objevtive of the proyect is to adapt three (3) classic rock songs to the fazz fusion style, in trio format, based in the techniques used by Alex Skolnick, in his Alex Skolnick trio band, specifically in his albums Goodbye to Romance, and Transformation. It's an investigation-creation project. Since the adaptations will be in trio format, the guitarist has all the melodic and harmonic responsability, forcing the guitarist to perform all the melodies using chord melody. This will improves the guitarist skills to create chord melodies, and will improves the guitarist technique to perform chord melodies, for the chord melody to sound the most clean and clear as possible. The Project was realized making the transcriptions of three (3) classic rock songs, and the Alex Skolnick versions. Later, a comparative analysis was made comparing the two versions of the previous songs, to know how Alex Skolnick adapted the songs. The next step was to choose three (3) classic rock songs, and with the results of the comparative analysis, use the tolos Alex uses to adapt songs. The result oh the investigation is the three (3) classic rock songs, adapted to the jazz fusion style in trio format. The songs are Mr. Blue Sky, by Electric Light Orchestra, Wish you Were Here, by Pink Floyd, and Home Sweet Home, by Mötley Crüe.
