dc.description.abstract	Actualmente el cáncer colorrectal ha tenido un aumento en la incidencia en los países en vías de desarrollo convirtiéndose así en el tercer cáncer más frecuente en el mundo y en nuestro país el cuarto más frecuente. Objetivo. Determinar la sobrevida global en los pacientes con Cáncer Colorrectal atendidos en el Hospital Militar Central de Bogotá Colombia entre los años 2010 a 2014. Métodos. Se realizó un análisis de supervivencia: método de Kaplan-Meier; Log Rank, y Regresión de Cox con 155 pacientes diagnosticados con cáncer colorrectal y atendidos en el Hospital Militar Central de la ciudad de Bogotá durante el periodo 2010-2014. Resultados. Se tuvo que la mediana de los pacientes fue de 66 años de edad con un ligero predominio en el sexo masculino, fue mayor el número de pacientes con tumor localizado en colon sin embargo se observó una peor sobrevida para los pacientes con cáncer de recto, así mismo se obtuvo que el tener niveles de antígeno carcinoembrionario mayores o iguales a 5 ng/ml, no ser sometido a intervención quirúrgica (sin tener diferencia alguna por la localización del tumor) y el no recibir terapia adyuvante fueron factores que impactaban negativamente en la sobrevida de los pacientes con cáncer colorrectal. Conclusiones. Se concluyó en este estudio que la supervivencia global, de los pacientes con cáncer colorrectal diagnosticados y tratados en el Hospital Militar Central durante el periodo 2010-2014 fue del 75% a 60 meses de seguimiento, el estadio IV apenas tuvo una supervivencia del 10% a 44 meses de seguimiento siendo éste el estadio que más pacientes presentaba. De ahí la importancia de adecuadas técnicas de tamizaje con el fin de realizar diagnósticos tempranos y ofrecer tratamientos oportunos disminuyendo así la mortalidad por cáncer colorrectal en esta población.	spa
dc.description.abstractenglish	Nowdays the colorrectal cancer has had an increase in the incidence in countries that are in process of development, becoming the third most common cancer in the world and in our country the fourth most frequent. Objective. To determine the global survival in patients with colorrectal cancer assisted in the Hospital Militar Central between 2010 and 2014. Methodology. A survival analysis was conducted:Kaplan-Meier method, Long Rank and Cox Regression, with 155 patients, diagnosed with colorrectal cancer and assisted at the Militar Central Hospital in Bogotá city between 2010 and 2014. Results. It was obtained that the median of patients were 66 years old, with a slight predominance in the male sex. It was higher the number of patients with a localized tumor in the colon. However, It was observed a minor survival in patients with rectal cancer. Likewise, It was observed that having antigen carcinoembrionic levels higher or equal to 5ng/ml, not to be subjected to surgical intervention (without taking into account the location of the tumor) and not receiving adjuvant therapy were facts that had a negative impact in the patient´s survival with colorrectal cancer. Conclusions. It was concluded in this research that the patients´survival with colorrectal cancer diagnosed in the Militar Central Hospital between 2010 and 2014 was of 65% with 60 months of monitoring, being this stage the one that presented patients the most. Hence, the importance of appropiate screening techniques with the aim to obtain early diagnosis and offer opportune treatments reducing in this way the mortality produced by colorrectal cancer in this population.	eng
