dc.description.abstractSegún la Organización Mundial de la Salud, la leche materna es la primera comida natural para los lactantes, porque aportan la energía y nutrientes que requiere el recién nacido, en sus primeros años de vida, cubriéndole la mitad o más de las necesidades nutricionales. Además, permite fortalecer al lactante en los aspectos: nutricional, psicomotores, inmunitarios, y emocionalmente ayudándolo a crecer sano, pero sobre todo haciéndolo menos propenso de adquirir o desarrollar enfermedades, reduciendo la tasa de morbimortalidad. Los bancos de leche humana son centros especializados que nacen por la necesidad de aumentar la supervivencia de los recién nacidos que no tienen acceso a la leche de sus propias madres por diferentes causas. Estos se encargan de recoger, procesar y realizar control con altos estándares de calidad microbiológica de la leche humana donada y suministrarla a los neonatos que se encuentran hospitalizados en las unidades de cuidado neonatal, con el propósito de garantizar la mejor alimentación y supervivencia de los más vulnerables y así contribuir a disminuir la morbimortalidad por desnutrición infantil, por tal motivo este trabajo se realizó con el fin de fortalecer los procesos educativos a través de las diferentes estrategias de información, educación y comunicación, cuya finalidad está en que la comunidad conozca la importancia que tiene el banco de leche para la consecución de madres donantes de leche humana, pretendiendo con ello fortalecer la salud y bienestar de los recién nacidos que no tienen acceso a la leche de su propia madre. El proyecto de gestión se desarrollará en el Banco de leche humana del Hospital Universitario Departamental de Nariño y también abordará a las instituciones de primer nivel de atención, los espacios a los que asisten las posibles donantes de leche humana, como lo son: el control prenatal, el curso de preparación para el parto, la consulta externa, vacunación, los hogares comunitarios, la consulta de crecimiento y desarrollo, y la comunidad en general con ello se pretende fortalecer la captación de donantes de leche humana, promoviendo “gotas seguras que salvan vidas”, se hará uso de las estrategias de información, educación y comunicación. La ejecución del proyecto estará a cargo de los investigadores y el personal que coordina el Banco de Leche Humana del Hospital Universitario Departamental de Nariño, quienes tienen el interés para que se desarrolle este proyecto de gestión, contándose con el apoyo de las directivas de la institución. El período en que se diseñará y ejecutará el proyecto de gestión es aproximadamente de un año, para ello las diferentes actividades que se implementaran son continuas, porque a medida que se desarrollan las actividades se está abordando la totalidad de los objetivos hasta lograr la captación de donantes de leche humana con un amplio potencial, permitiendo que el banco de leche humana del Hospital Universitario Departamental de Nariño, sea quien brinde y aumente la captación de leche humana donada en la ciudad de Pasto, el hospital podrá suplir la demanda de los usuarios hospitalizados e incluso estará en capacidad de distribuir leche humana a otras instituciones de salud que lo requieran, siendo esto un beneficio para poblaciones vulnerables como lo son los niños prematuros, con bajo peso al nacer, hijos de madres con VIH, niños en condición de abandono, e hijos de madres que han fallecido leche a los niños prematuros y de bajo peso al nacer de las diferentes instituciones de salud existentes en el municipio de Pasto. El hecho de liderar un proyecto de gestión que genera un impacto directo sobre la morbimortalidad de poblaciones necesitadas y vulnerables lo configura como un aporte, relevante, factible y novedoso en el contexto de la salud pública y el aporte a mejores desenlaces clínicos de los pacientes con enfermedades agudas y prevalentes.spa
dc.description.abstractenglishAccording to the World Health Organization, breast milk is the first natural food for infants, because it provides the energy and nutrients that the newborn requires in its first years of life, covering half or more of the nutritional needs. In addition, it allows the infant to be strengthened in the aspects: nutritionally, psychomotor, immune, and emotionally, helping him to grow up healthy, but above all, making him less prone to acquiring or developing diseases, reducing the rate of morbidity and mortality. Human milk banks are specialized centers born out of the need to increase the survival of newborns who do not have access to their own mothers' milk for different reasons. They are in charge of collecting, processing and controlling donated human milk with high microbiological quality standards and supplying it to the neonates who are hospitalized in neonatal care units, in order to guarantee the best nutrition and survival of the most vulnerable and thus contribute to reduce morbidity and mortality due to child malnutrition, for this reason this work was carried out in order to strengthen educational processes through different information, education and communication strategies, whose purpose is for the community to know the importance that the milk bank has for obtaining human milk donor mothers, thereby seeking to strengthen the health and well-being of newborns who do not have access to their own mother's milk. The management project will be developed in the Human Milk Bank of the Departmental University Hospital of Nariño and will also address the first level care institutions, the spaces attended by potential human milk donors, such as: prenatal control , the course of preparation for childbirth, the outpatient consultation, vaccination, community homes, the consultation of growth and development, and the community in general with this it is intended to strengthen the recruitment of human milk donors, promoting "safe drops that save lives ”, information, education and communication strategies will be used. The execution of the project will be in charge of the researchers and the personnel that coordinates the Human Milk Bank of the Departmental University Hospital of Nariño, who have the interest to develop this management project, with the support of the directives of the institution. The period in which the management project will be designed and executed is approximately one year, for this the different activities that will be implemented are continuous, because as the activities are developed, all the objectives are being addressed until achieving the capture of Human milk donors with a wide potential, allowing the human milk bank of the Departmental University Hospital of Nariño, to be the one who provides and increases the collection of donated human milk in the city of Pasto, the hospital will be able to meet the demand of hospitalized users And it will even be able to distribute human milk to other health institutions that require it, this being a benefit for vulnerable populations such as premature children, with low birth weight, children of mothers with HIV, children in a condition of abandonment, and children of mothers who have died milk to premature and low-birth-weight infants from different health institutions in the municipality of Pasto.
