dc.description.abstractEl proyecto de gestión prevención de infecciones en sitio operatorio aplicando la herramienta lista de chequeo en una unidad quirúrgica ambulatoria , basado en las 29 recomendaciones de la OMS en la prevención de Infecciones asociadas a la atención en salud y factores de riesgo asociados al paciente y al ambiente. Tipo de estudio observacional a través de los resultados obtenidos de las listas de chequeo de Bioseguridad aplicadas aleatoria mente a los colaboradores de quirófano .La Metodología se realizó aplicando una de priorización se evaluaron las necesidades de acuerdo a un grupo de variables identificadas: frecuencia de ocurrencia, importancia del problema, percepción de los grupos de interés, posibilidad de solución. Se realizó puntuación de acuerdo a las variables y cada necesidad identificada dando como resultado la baja adherencia a las medidas de prevención de ISO por parte del personal de quirófano con una puntuación 1875 resultado de la multiplicación de las variables asignadas El Objetivo de éste proyecto de gestión es la Implementación de una lista de verificación para la prevención de infecciones del sitio operatorio en el 100% de cirugía programada con el fin de disminuir la ocurrencia de ISO en la unidad quirúrgica ambulatoria, a través de capacitar al personal quirúrgico en la adecuada utilización de la herramienta prevención de ISO, medición a la adherencia del personal quirúrgico en la aplicación de la lista de verificación para la prevención de ISO y estandarización de los protocolos de prevención y control de ISO en cirugía. La población muestra estuvo compuesta por el personal asistencial de quirófano cirujanos, anestesiólogos, médicos ayudantes, instrumentadores quirúrgicos, enfermeras, auxiliares de enfermería. Los resultados arrojaron la importancia de conocer e identificar de los factores de riesgo que contribuyen a que una ISO se convierta en pieza clave y fundamental en la creación de herramientas y estrategias para su prevención. Es fundamental para fortalecer un programa de seguridad del paciente institucional .La investigación y reporte de las ISO como eventos adversos, son importantes en la obtención de datos reales en la institución con el fin de identificar los riesgos y evitar su posible ocurrencia. Es necesario tener en cuenta que para adoptar e implementar una lista de chequeo se debe conocer las características propias de las unidades o Instituciones en dónde se va a desarrollar el proyecto.spa
dc.description.abstractenglishThe management project for the prevention of surgical site infections by applying the checklist tool in an ambulatory surgical unit is based on the 29 WHO recommendations on the prevention of healthcare-associated infections, risk factors associated with the patient and the environment. The type of observational study was obtained through the results of the biosafety checklists randomly applied to the operating room collaborators. The methodology used is the application of a prioritization matrix, where the needs were evaluated according to a group of identified variables: frequency of occurrence, importance of the problem, perception of the stakeholders and possibility of solution. A score was assigned according to the variables and each identified need resulting in low adherence to ISO prevention measures by operating room personnel with a result of 1875 when multiplying the assigned variables. The objective of this management project is the implementation of a checklist for the prevention of surgical site infections to 100% of scheduled surgery, in order to reduce the occurrence of ISO in the ambulatory surgical unit. Through training of surgical personnel in the proper use of the ISO prevention tool, measurement of the adherence of surgical personnel in the application of the checklist for the prevention of ISO, standardization of protocols for the prevention and control of ISO in surgery. The sample population was composed of operating room personnel: surgeons, anesthesiologists, assistant physicians, surgical instrumentators, nurses and nursing assistants. The results showed: a) The importance of knowing and identifying the risk factors that contribute to the occurrence of an ISO as a key and fundamental piece in the creation of tools and strategies for its prevention. b) The investigation and reporting of ISOs as adverse events are important in obtaining real data in the institution in order to identify the risks and prevent their possible occurrence. It is necessary to take into account that in order to adopt and implement a checklist, the characteristics of the units or institutions where the project is going to be developed must be known. c) It is essential to strengthen an institutional patient safety program.eng
