Evolution of wireless telecommunications technology is continuously ongoing, mainly because of the need to achieve other revenue streams leading to improve operator profitability. More often, greater speeds and better quality of service are required to meet end user communication requirements. These can only be obtained by deployment of newer technologies and/or optimization of already established processes. Currently, these processes are performed manually and have not been optimized yet. This causes typical failures such as increased or longer "SYSTEM DOWN TIME". Conversely, it is well known due to public broadcasting that ´Colombia Movil – OLA incurred in significant amounts of system downtime that caused dramatic increase in their churn rate levels. In order to optimize these processes, a new approach needs to be implemented towards improvement and optimization of O&M routines because the proper operation of a telephony switching exchange depends of the efficiency and reliability of them. This software tool features continuous and automatic supervision of O&M routines, specifically regarding the treatment of Al alarms, which have the highest priority to reduce operator risks and also improve service reliability and end user satisfaction levels. This is a helpful tool to operate and maintain processes, which helps to reduce operator's costs and also improve quality of service perceived by end users. During the development of this software tool we have considered the importance of the Grade of Service as one of the key performance indicators of a telephony switching exchange. The Grade of Service is crucial to determine end user satisfaction levels. In order to monitor this indicator it was necessary to work at ="` active Network Operations Centers in Telecom and\or Ericsson facilities, In addition, it was also required the use of software that allowing to access equipment information and system fault solving. These tools were WinFiol 7.0, Alex 7.4. and Ericscript 1.0 where the programming of software was made.
