dc.description.abstractenglish | This study investigates how facial color modification, specifically skin redness, affects health perception in faces. Health perception through facial appearance is a universal process influencing social judgments on attractiveness and competence. A sample of 250 participants rated faces in their natural state and with modified redness on a 1-7 scale. The study utilized an experimental design, manipulating facial color in the Lab* color model, with linear regression analysis to examine the relationship between redness and perceived health. The findings aim to assess whether increased skin redness is associated with higher health perceptions, enhancing understanding of how facial color influences social health evaluations.
