La educación intercultural y la educación ambiental vistas como un conjunto pueden conducir a construir una sociedad más participativa y consciente, pues la primera promueve el diálogo entre la diversidad de culturas que cohabitan en un lugar, y la segunda surge como una herramienta de prevención frente a la crisis ambiental resultante del modelo de civilización actual, sirviendo para mitigar y prevenir las consecuencias que puede traer sobre la salud y calidad de vida de todos. Para abordar este diálogo, el presente estado del arte revisa la literatura existente sobre la educación ambiental e intercultural en Latinoamérica durante la última década. En los hallazgos se destaca la inclusión de la educación ambiental en el sistema educativo porque es donde los más jóvenes construyen su propia visión del mundo y su participación en este; entre los pueblos indígenas y la postura de la educación ambiental, estas tienen en común que buscan la eficacia total del planeta porque el funcionamiento de cada parte repercute en el todo, destacando la integralidad ambiental en educación como eje de apoyo a la conservación y buen manejo de los recursos naturales. En la región se reconocen una serie de esfuerzos que han generado avances en la propuesta dialógica entre lo ambiental y lo intercultural, sin embargo, es todavía un tema es construcción.

Abstract
Intercultural education and environmental education are strategies that, if they work together, can lead to building a more participative and conscious society, the first one is a promoter of dialogue between the diversity of cultures that coexist in one place, and the second arises as a prevention tool to face the environmental crisis resulting from the current civilization model, serving to mitigate the consequences that it can have on the health and quality of life of humans. To address this dialogue, the present state of the art reviews the existing literature on environmental and intercultural education in Latin America during the last decade. The findings include the inclusion of environmental education in the educational system because it is where the youngest build their own vision of the world and their participation in it; between indigenous communities and the position of environmental education, they have in common that they seek the total effectiveness of the planet because the operation of each part affects the whole, highlighting the environmental integrality in education as an axis of support for conservation and good management of natural resources. In the region, a series of efforts are recognized that have generated advances in the dialogic proposal between the environmental and the intercultural, however, it is still an issue under construction.
