La presente monografía tiene como objetivo analizar los procesos electorales realizados en el departamento de Casanare respecto de quienes han sido elegidos para representar al departamento ante la Cámara baja, teniendo en cuenta la promulgación de la Carta Política de 1991 cuando Casanare es reconocido como departamento, partiendo de las revisiones a la implementación del sistema electoral desde la constituyente y las modificación realizada en la reforma de 2003 como una de las más relevantes en dicho sistema. Con el fin de lograr el objetivo propuesto se aborda un enfoque exploratorio descriptivo y una revisión de la literatura como instrumento de recolección de la información. A partir de dicha metodología, se encamina la investigación resaltar los aspectos más relevantes y las modificaciones del sistema electoral colombiano realizada en la reforma del 2003, con el de analizar e interpretar de qué forma dicho sistema impactó la vida política del departamento de Casanare y la forma como los nuevos representantes del departamento ante la Cámara construyeron diversas plataformas para lograr ser elegidos ante dicha corporación. Lo anterior, teniendo en cuenta que es a partir de 1991 cuando Casanare pasa de ser intendencia a Departamento y, por ende, se le faculta para elegir sus propios representantes y quienes tuvieran el conocimiento de las necesidades más para el desarrollo departamental. En dicho afán de lograr una curul y el ser reconocido como los primeros personajes en ocupar un cargo de elección popular de tan alto reconocimiento, poder analizar si la violencia que en el momento reinaba en el departamento llegó a permear las estructuras políticas de que se valieron dichos representantes con el objetivo de lograr ser elegidos en la Cámara de Representantes.

Abstract
The objective of this monograph is to analyze the electoral processes carried out in the department of Casanare regarding those who have been elected to represent the department in the House of Representatives, taking into account the promulgation of the political charter of 1991 when Casanare is recognized as a department, based on the revisions to the implementation of the electoral system from the constituent and the modification made in the 2003 reform as one of the most relevant in said system. The methodological process will be qualitative research, with the complement of an exploratory-descriptive approach and a review of the literature as an instrument for collecting information. From this methodology, the investigation will be directed to highlight the most relevant aspects and the modifications of the electoral system made in the 2003 reform, to be able to analyze and interpret how said system impacts the political life of the department of Casanare and the way in which the new representatives of the department before the chamber built various platforms to be elected before said corporation. That, taking into account that it is from 1991 when Casanare goes from being a mayor to a Department, and finally, it is empowered to elect its own representatives and those who had the capacity to know the most visible needs for departmental development. . In this desire to achieve a seat and be recognized as the first characters to occupy a position of popular election of such high recognition, to be able to analyze if the violence that reigned in the department at the time came to permeate the political structures that were used by those representatives with the aim of being elected in such a distinguished corporation.
