dc.description.abstract	Hoy en día el turismo no es concebido netamente como una actividad económica, debido al contexto en el cual, al abarcar el uso de los recursos naturales, este incurre en problemáticas como la generación de residuos sólidos, el agotamiento del recurso hídrico, las emisiones atmosféricas, entre otros. El objetivo principal de este trabajo de investigación fue diseñar la fase de planificación de un sistema de gestión ambiental (SGA) para el hotel Alborada en Melgar, Tolima a partir de la norma ISO 14001:2015. Lo anterior, fue posible metodológicamente a través de tres etapas: primero, el diagnóstico inicial frente a los requerimientos de la norma; segundo, la evaluación de los aspectos e impactos ambientales del hotel y tercero, la formulación de elementos vitales de la gestión sostenible, como la política y los programas de uso y gestión eficiente de recursos como el agua y la energía eléctrica. Con los resultados obtenidos, fue posible identificar un cumplimiento nulo de los requerimientos puntuales del estándar ISO, además de eso, se especificaron los aspectos e impactos ambientales involucrados de acuerdo con las áreas operativas del hotel, así como los respectivos planes de acción para la mitigación de estos. Particularmente, se recomienda no solo al gobierno nacional sino al municipal, incentivar a esta industria a implementar herramientas de la gestión ambiental, tanto para brindarle mayor competitividad a Melgar en el sector hotelero, como para promover la conservación y el uso sostenible de los recursos a la vez que se brinda un servicio de calidad y diferenciado.	spa
dc.description.abstractenglish	Nowadays, tourism is not strictly defined as an economic activity, due to the context in which, by including the use of natural resources, it incurs problematics such as the generation of solid waste, the depletion of water resources, atmospheric emissions, among others. The main objective of this research work was to design the planning phase of an environmental management system (EMS) for the Alborada hotel in Melgar, Tolima from the ISO 14001:2015 standard. This was methodologically possible through three different stages: first, the initial diagnosis regarding the standard’s requirements; second, the evaluation of the environmental aspects and impacts of the hotel; and third, the formulation of the basic elements of the sustainable management, such as the policy and the programs of the efficient use and management of resources like water and electricity. With the results obtained, it was possible to identify a null fulfillment of the specific requirements given by the ISO standard, in addition to that, the environmental aspects and impacts involved were specified in accordance with the hotel’s operating areas, as well as the respective action plans for their mitigation. Particularly, it is recommended not only to the national government, but also to the municipal one, to incentive this industry to include environmental management tools, both to provide Melgar with greater competitiveness in the sector and to promote the conservation and sustainable use of resources in all its operational activities.	eng
