Caracterización de factores asociados al intento de suicidio antes y durante el primer año de la pandemia por el COVID-19 en el departamento de Boyacá - Colombia, en el periodo 2019-2020

La conducta suicida es definida por la Organización Mundial de la Salud como “todo acto por el que un individuo se causa a sí mismo una lesión o un daño, cualquiera sea el grado de la intención letal o de conocimiento del verdadero móvil”, las condiciones adversas relacionadas con la pandemia provocada por el COVID-19 y su impacto en los determinantes sociales de la salud, agudizan los factores de riesgo, que bien podrían aumentar el riesgo suicida o modificar el perfil de ocurrencia del mismo, a partir del análisis de los factores asociados con el intento de suicidio, se describirán los cambios en el perfil epidemiológico registrado en las fichas de notificación obligatoria de conducta suicida en el departamento de Boyacá en el periodo 2019- 2020. El presente estudio identifica que la mayoría de las variables analizadas no evidenciaron un cambio estadísticamente significativo, sin embargo el número de intentos suicida si aumento concerniente al cambio de año, el presente estudio revela que si existe una relación en el cambio de año: pre-pandemia: 2019 y durante la pandemia 2020, la multiplicidad de las circunstancias que se generaron en ese periodo, son tan especiales como únicas, lo que podría explicar los resultados ambiguos del presente estudio. Se recomienda hacer un análisis con mayor cantidad de variables, donde se incluyan por ejemplo las relacionadas con el género, la orientación de género, incluir individuos menores de 18 años y contrastar de 5 a 10 años.

Abstract
Suicidal behavior is defined by the World Health Organization as "any act by which an individual causes himself injury or harm, regardless of the degree of lethal intent or knowledge of the true motive, the adverse conditions related to the pandemic caused by COVID-19 and its impact on the social determinants of health, exacerbate the risk factors, which could well increase the risk of suicide or modify the profile of occurrence of the same based on the analysis of the factors associated with the suicide attempt, the changes in the epidemiological profile registered in the mandatory notification sheets of suicidal behavior in the department of Boyacá in the period 2019-2020 will be described. The present study identifies that most of the variables analyzed did not show a statistically significant change, however the number of suicide attempts did increase concerning the change of year, the present study reveals that if there is a relationship in the change of year: pre-pandemic: 2019 and during the pandemic 2020, the multiplicity of circumstances that were generated in that period are as special as they are unique, which could explain the ambiguous results of the present study. It is recommended to make an analysis with a greater number of variables, which include, for example, those related to gender, gender orientation, include individuals under 18 years of age and contrast between 5 and 10 years.
