El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo realizar el diseño y reconocimiento de la funcionalidad del instrumento sobre estigma y discriminación asociado al VIH y al Sida, y su relación con acceso a diagnóstico para VIH y comportamientos de prevención, en estudiantes universitarios. Diseñado a partir de revisión bibliográfica. A manera de piloto, con una metodología cualitativa y una entrevista cognitiva grupal. Participaron 11 estudiantes de la facultad de Psicología de la Universidad El Bosque. La interpretación fue bajo dos perspectivas teórico- metodológicas, por un lado, la fenomenología y por el otro la hermenéutica. Se obtuvo un instrumento tipo cuestionario cuantitativo el cual se compone por 37 ítems. Se ajustó la redacción de los ítems 29 y 37. Se reconoce la funcionalidad del instrumento en estudiantes universitarios; se identificaron dificultades en la comprensión de dos preguntas, las cuales fueron ajustadas; y también se concluye que no existen reacciones del nivel emocional en el diligenciamiento del cuestionario. Finalmente se establece la importancia que tiene abordar desde la investigación en psicología de la salud. Para continuar con el proceso se recomienda la realización de un análisis psicométrico del instrumento y sus respectivos ajustes; así como la implementación del protocolo de investigación para identificar las formas en que le estigma y la discriminación asociados a la infección por VIH-Sida se constituyen en barreras de acceso a servicios como uso de preservativo y el diagnóstico de VIH en estudiantes universitarios en el que se inserta el presente ejercicio de investigación.

Abstract
This study aimed to design and recognize the functionality of the instrument on stigma and discrimination associated with HIV and AIDS, and its relationship with access to HIV diagnosis and prevention behaviors, in university students. Designed from bibliographic review. As a pilot, with a qualitative methodology and a group cognitive interview. Eleven students from the Psychology faculty of the El Bosque University participated. The interpretation was under two theoretical-methodological perspectives, on the one hand, phenomenology and on the other, hermeneutics. A quantitative questionnaire-type instrument was obtained, which is made up of 37 items. The wording of items 29 and 37 was adjusted. The functionality of the instrument is recognized in university students; Difficulties in understanding two questions were identified, which were adjusted; and it is also concluded that there are no reactions from the emotional level in completing the questionnaire. Finally, the importance of approaching from research in health psychology is established. To continue with the process, it is recommended to carry out a psychometric analysis of the instrument and its respective adjustments; as well as the implementation of the research protocol to identify the ways in which stigma and discrimination associated with HIV-AIDS infection constitute barriers to accessing services such as condom use and the diagnosis of HIV in university students in which This research exercise is inserted.
