El presente estudio, da a conocer los efectos de la producción, comercialización y exportación del sector cárnico bovino colombiano y de los países productores más importantes en Suramérica, evaluando las tendencias productivas y el comportamiento del sector en la industria colombiana. Observando la importancia en el sector cárnico y sus oportunidades de mercado. Para lograr el objetivo del estudio, se recopiló información en bases de datos y portales científicos tales como: Econpapers, AES, CEDE, ScienceDirect, Cepal, CAIE, Springer Nature, Banco Mundial y Banco de la República y demás instituciones que cuenten con la información relacionada. El estudio es de tipo retrospectivo analítico, con enfoque cuantitativo y cualitativo. A partir de lo anterior se encontró que en el periodo se presentó una tendencia negativa en la producción en el país, debido a efectos de factores climáticos, biológicos y factores de índole productiva que incidieron en la misma. La exportación presentó un fenómeno similar, que no fue ocasionado por las mismas causas, sino por efectos del cierre del convenio comercial con el mayor importador hacia el año 2010. La exportación de productos cárnicos es una excelente oportunidad de negocio, dados los avances tecnológicos, biológicos y administrativos en la producción y por los presentes y futuros convenios y tratados de libre comercio, que para el final del periodo permiten determinar un panorama positivo

Abstract
The present study, discloses the effects of production, marketing and export of the Colombian bovine meat sector and of the most important producing countries in South America, evaluating the productive tendencies and the behavior of the sector in the Colombian industry and its economic impact in the country between the years 2005 and 2015. To achieve the objective of the study, information was collected in databases and scientific portals such as: Econpapers, AES, CEDE, ScienceDirect, Cepal, CAIE, Springer Nature, World Bank and Bank of the Republic and other institutions that count with the related information. The study is of retrospective analytical type, with a quantitative and qualitative approach. Based on the above, it was found that during the period there was a negative trend in production in the country, due to the effects of climatic, biological factors and factors of a productive nature that affected it. The export presented a similar phenomenon, which was not caused by the same causes, but by effects of the closing of the commercial agreement with the largest importer towards the year 2010. The export of meat products is an excellent business opportunity, given the technological advances, biological and administrative in the production and by the present and future agreements and free trade agreements, which by the end of the period allow to determine a positive outlook.
