The Comodidad y Lujo company, specializing in furniture carpentry, finds in its last years a decrease in its productivity. From the identification of the problem, the project arises to design a plan to improve its productivity, based on the three products with the highest percentage of sales, which are: doors, closets and chairs. Thanks to a diagnosis, the main sources of waste were identified: the inefficiency times of the employees dueto the disorganization of the factory and an inadequate distribution of the machines which perturbs the product flows. Therefore, the project was based on two proposals, the first focuses on a redistribution of the plant to reduce the transport distances and the second one focuses on the application of Lean Management through the application of the SS methodology to organize the factory and thus reduce delays. The proposals were designed to have a longterm contribution to productivity, serving as the basis for a continuous improvement process. Consequently, with the implementation of the proposals, 41% of transport distance is saved on the doors, 48% on the closets and S2% on the chairs.
