Ítem Impacto de un programa de rehabilitación en la funcionalidad de pacientes con diagnóstico de osteoartrosis de rodilla en una IPS de la ciudad de Bogotá en el período de enero a junio de 2019(2019) Mosquera Manga, Lea Vanessa; Diaz, Paola Andrea; Zuleta, SandraOsteoarthritis, today also known as osteoarthritis or degenerative joint disease, is considered a multifactorial pathology of the locomotor system, characterized by degeneration and loss of articular cartilage. This pathology represents one of the main causes of disability in the world, considered additional, with a high economic impact due to the costs generated by its treatment and subsequent disability, and Colombia is not alien to this problem. Objective: Measure the impact on the functionality of the patient with a diagnosis of knee Osteoarthrosis of the current care model. Method: Observational, descriptive, retrospective study, 514 records corresponding to adult patients aged 40 years and over, treated at IPS Rangel, included in the Rehabilitation Program for Osteoarthrosis and who had knee involvement for the period from January to June 2019. Results: The population belonging to the Program with a diagnosis of knee osteoarthritis was characterized taking into account, among others by relevance and association, the age in years with a median of 66 years, prevalence of the female sex with 76%. Laterality of the gonarthrosis, with bilaterality in 272 (53.2%). 144 (27.1%) had diagnoses related to musculoskeletal pathologies. Regarding the degree of gonarthrosis, we found that 49.8% of the patients present grade III according to the Kellgreen and Lawrence classification and with a median functional class of 2. Forty-nine percent (252) of the patients were overweight, and the relationship with the degree of knee osteoarthritis was established. When applying the womac scale when the patient was admitted, in the pain domain, we observed that 100% of the patients who entered the program presented a sensation of it, finding a median of 14. In the rigid domain, we observed that 100% of the patients who entered the program presented a sensation of it, finding a median of 6. And in the functionality domain, we observed that 100% of the patients who entered the program presented a perception of its decrease, finding a median of 46. The improvement in the perception of the 3 domains is evident at the end of the program. Conclusions: Based on the results obtained, we could conclude that the establishment and monitoring of a Gonarthrosis Rehabilitation Program with adequate clinimetry (womac scale) contributes and significantly impacts the sensation and perception of well-being (pain, stiffness and functionality) in the population studied (69%). It is recommended to deepen the studies of the interventions carried out and the variables in order to establish the long-term costs and impact on public health.
