This has made necessary the implementation of an according caries management. Aim: to assess the satisfaction of Cariescare International (CCI) adapted to current COVID-19 needs among children aged 3- 8 years old and their parents/ caregivers. Methods: A crosssectional study (survey) was performed including population attending at Universidad El Bosque for dental needs. The method amimed to provide caries management without air sprays/aerosols, reducing consultation time and chosen procedures were based on the best available evidence. Initially, a total of 30 patients were included (n = 30) out of which 4 were excluded, for a final sample of 26 participants (n=26). The survey for parents/caregivers included 15 questions and was applied after the CCI scheme and the short change behavior tool. Results: From the total of participants, 11 (42.31 %) were males. 92 % of parents/ caregivers reported their knowledge regarding caries improved after CCI management, and 96 % increased their understanding. 89 % reported that management with the dentist improved the compromise with the proposed treatment and patient-dentist relation as well. 100 % of parents/guardians were satisfied without the use of drills and with the individual caries risk analysis in order to determine re- call time and 85 % of parents/caregivers reported that indications for home and consultation helped considerably to change the child’s behavior regarding sugar intake. Conclusions: analysis of surveys showed that the CCI adapted to COVID-19 times had a high satisfaction and acceptance rate among parents/guardians/guardians of children aged three to eight years.application/pdfspaAtribución-NoComercial-CompartirIgual 4.0 InternacionalProgresión de cariesEstado de salud oralSatisfacciónAdherenciaEfectividad de manejoCaries Out: Encuesta para padres y niños para medir la satisfacción de la implementación de CariesCare International adaptada para la pandemia de COVID-19Tesis/Trabajo de grado - Monografía - PregradoCaries progressionOral health conditionSatisfactionAdherenceManagement effectivenessWU 100instname:Universidad El Bosquereponame:Repositorio Institucional Universidad El Bosquerepourl:https://repositorio.unbosque.edu.coCaries Out: Survey for parents and kids to measure the satisfaction during the implementation of CariesCare International, adapted for the COVID 19 pandemicAcceso abiertohttps://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess
