Por esta razón, el presente estudio buscó identificar las características del consumo de sustancias y las estrategias de afrontamiento en jóvenes que se encuentran privados de la libertad en un centro de resocialización, este estudio se conformó con una muestra de 78 jóvenes con edades entre los 16 y 23 años, obteniendo que las sustancias más consumidas fueron alcohol, cigarrillo y marihuana., además la estrategia positiva más utilizada fue solución de problemas y la estrategia negativa más alta fue evitación emocional.In recent times there is evidence of interest in investigating the use of psychoactive substances in young people, but little is known about the psychological factors involved in the use of young offenders. For this reason, the present study sought to identify the characteristics of substance use and coping strategies in young people who are deprived of liberty in a resocialization center, this study was satisfied with a sample of 78 young people aged between 16 and 23 years, obtaining that the most consumed substances were alcohol, cigarette, and marijuana.
