Resumen
El discurso de la vejez está por doquier. Se habla de evitarla y prevenirla, igual que se aborda el tema de cualquier enfermedad. Si a esto añadimos el concepto de que el ciclo vital implica nacer en condición de dependencia y envejecer con diferentes grados de la misma, como circunstancia inherente al paso del tiempo –valga de ejemplo que un anciano sin estar enfermo, no puede correr–, entonces podemos comprender que la fragilidad de la especie humana, que nos hace vulnerables, es parte de la naturaleza de ser hombre; por lo que incluir en el discurso médico la intención de prevenir la vejez, oculta al sujeto de la medicina y niega al anciano. La medicina interna entendida como una especialidad clínica que integra al equipo de salud encargado del cuidado de un paciente adulto, y en atención a que la mayoría de los pacientes de esta especialidad son ancianos, es la llamada a dialogar en el discurso de la bioética de la vulnerabilidad que Corine Pelluchon propone en su libro La autonomía quebrada, para generar un lenguaje que inscriba al anciano como sujeto.

Abstract
The discourse on old age is everywhere. We talk about avoiding and preventing it, just as we talk about any disease. the same way that any disease is discussed.
