This study is a systematic literature review on the character strength of prudence from the perspective of Positive Psychology, gathering evidence from empirical studies published from 2004 to 2024. The objectives included identifying evaluation instruments, determining developed interventions, and highlighting the contexts in which this strength has been studied. The search was done in databases of Scopus, Science Direct, Web of Science, EBSCO, and PubMed, identifying 95 articles, of which 40 met the inclusion criteria. 38 studies focused on evaluation and only 2 on interventions, with education, work, and health as the most relevant contexts. The countries with the most research on prudence were the United States, Switzerland, and Spain, with the years 2020, 2021, and 2022 as the most productive in terms of publications. Adolescents, adults, and employees were part of the most studied populations. The study concludes that prudence is an important strength, but further intervention-based research is necessary for its development.
