| dc.description.abstractenglish | The purpose of this research article is to identify, through a documentary review, the main organizational factors that make personnel retention in the armed forces more efficient. By means of a qualitative content analysis, 45 scientific articles related to personnel retention in the military forces were reviewed. The inclusion criteria were considered to be those scientific articles published between 1987 and 2024 in the following databases: GOOGLE ACADEMICS, EBSCO, JSTOR, PROQUEST, SAGE and SCOPUS. Based on the above, the reviewed documents were categorized as follows: Incentives, Training, Family, Adaptation and Leadership by means of an analysis matrix, where particular elements were identified in each reviewed study, related to each of the chosen review categories, such as salary retribution, union and family welfare, possibilities of professional, technical or technological training, transformation of the military doctrine related to generational changes and the leadership style projected by their commanders; however, there is still a great scientific gap and opportunity for research around personnel loyalty in the military forces. | |
