dc.description.abstractLos componentes cognitivo-afectivos de las disfunciones sexuales se manifiestan en el patrón de atención visual, revelando diferencias de género en el procesamiento de estímulos sexuales. Este estudio experimental investigó la relación entre pensamientos negativos durante la actividad sexual y la atención visual a estímulos eróticos y no eróticos en 61 hombres y 60 mujeres cisgénero. Se aplicó la escala pensamientos automáticos sobre la actividad sexual (SMQ) y se analizó su efecto sobre el patrón de atención durante la visualización libre de estímulos femeninos y masculinos, eróticos y no eróticos, usando rastreo ocular. Los resultados mostraron un efecto de pensamientos automáticos negativos sobre la duración total de las fijaciones (DTF) tanto en hombres como en mujeres, dependientes del sexo del estímulo y del contenido del estímulo. En hombres se encontró que, a mayor frecuencia de pensamientos de preocupación por la evaluación social y sentimientos de vergüenza, pensamientos negativos hacia el sexo y preocupación por el rendimiento, menor DTF sobre estímulos femeninos eróticos, y en mujeres ante ausencia de pensamientos eróticos, menor DTF sobre estímulos masculinos eróticos. Se concluye que los pensamientos negativos hacia la actividad sexual afectan el procesamiento cognitivo de señales eróticas, generando disminución de atención hacia estímulos sexuales relevantes.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe cognitive-affective components of sexual dysfunctions are reflected in visual attention patterns, revealing gender differences in the processing of sexual stimuli. This experimental study investigated the relationship between negative thoughts during sexual activity and visual attention to erotic and non-erotic stimuli in 61 cisgender men and 60 cisgender women. The Sexual Activity Automatic Thoughts Scale (SMQ) was applied, and its effect on attention patterns was analyzed during free viewing of male and female, erotic and non-erotic stimuli using eye-tracking. The results showed an effect of negative automatic thoughts on total fixation duration (TFD) in both men and women, depending on the sex of the stimulus and the stimulus content. In men, greater frequency of thoughts related to social evaluation concerns, feelings of shame, negative thoughts about sex, and performance anxiety were associated with lower TFD on female erotic stimuli. In women, the absence of erotic thoughts was associated with lower TFD on male erotic stimuli. It is concluded that negative thoughts about sexual activity affect the cognitive processing of erotic signals, leading to reduced attention to relevant sexual stimuli.
