Idoneidad del protocolo de eutanasia en relación con el derecho a la muerte digna en Colombia: un análisis desde los principios de Kemp y Rendtorff

El contexto en torno a la solicitud de eutanasia como derecho para morir con dignidad nos obliga a preguntarnos si el protocolo actual de eutanasia es una herramienta idónea que interprete la solicitud del paciente, en un ámbito que incluya las variables necesarias para determinar las dinámicas biopsicosociales en la ruta que lleva al paciente a su condición de fin de vida, con un enfoque más humano. La atención del paciente terminal, con enfermedad progresiva y/o incurable o que acusa sufrimiento existencial, representa un reto asistencial desde la complejidad de los recursos que requiere para resolver sus necesidades y la oportunidad, con la celeridad, integralidad e
interdisciplinariedad con la que debe tratarlo el sistema de salud. Inmerso en un ambiente vulnerable, y haciendo uso de su autonomía, tiene la posibilidad de acceder a la eutanasia como derecho para reclamar una muerte digna; por ende, analizar si el protocolo de eutanasia es idóneo como herramienta que reclama dignidad al momento de morir, plantea una serie de cuestionamientos, entre ellos, si contempla el aspecto biopsicosocial del paciente y la inclusión de las variables de oportunidad de todos los actores involucrados en la condición de salud del paciente que solicita la eutanasia. La solicitud del procedimiento requiere de parte del paciente voluntariedad, y estar padeciendo un sufrimiento insoportable, como consecuencia de una enfermedad grave, progresiva e incurable, que no tiene posibilidades curativas. Se propone realizar un análisis del protocolo para aplicación del procedimiento de eutanasia en Colombia 2015 y su idoneidad, con un enfoque biopsicosocial que proporcione un marco de
referencia a la hora de decidir por medio del protocolo vigente, si el paciente aplica o no a dicha solicitud, de manera integral, al reconocerlo como un ser humano,

Abstract
