Agendamiento de citas y seguimiento de tratamientos en la Clínica dental del Dr. Fabián Mora

dc.description.abstractLa Clínica Dental del Dr. Fabián Mora enfrentaba dificultades en la organización de citas, el registro de historiales clínicos y el seguimiento de tratamientos, lo cual afectaba la eficiencia operativa y la experiencia de los pacientes. Ante esta situación, se desarrolló un aplicativo web orientado a mejorar dichos procesos mediante la digitalización y sistematización de la información clínica. Para estructurar la solución, se identificaron las causas principales del problema a través de un árbol de problemas, se definieron los objetivos de forma específica, medible, alcanzable, relevante y con un tiempo determinado donde se incorporó un enfoque biopsicosocial y cultural, adaptado al contexto específico de la clínica. La gestión del proyecto se llevó a cabo utilizando la metodología Kanban, permitiendo una planificación flexible y una ejecución eficiente.Como resultado, se entregó un aplicativo funcional que facilita la administración de citas, el acceso a historiales clínicos en tiempo real y el seguimiento continuo de tratamientos. El pilotaje evidenció una mejora en la organización interna, una reducción en los tiempos de atención y una mayor precisión en el manejo de la información, contribuyendo a una experiencia más satisfactoria para los pacientes y a una toma de decisiones más informada por parte del personal médico.
dc.description.abstractenglishDr. Fabián Mora’s Dental Clinic was facing difficulties in appointment scheduling, clinical record keeping, and treatment follow-up, which affected operational efficiency and the patient experience. In response to this situation, a web application was developed to improve these processes through the digitalization and systematization of clinical information. To structure the solution, the main causes of the problem were identified using a problem tree. Specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) objectives were defined, incorporating a biopsychosocial and cultural approach tailored to the clinic’s specific context. The project was managed using the Kanban methodology, enabling flexible planning and efficient execution. As a result, a functional application was delivered that facilitates appointment management, real-time access to clinical records, and continuous treatment monitoring. The pilot phase demonstrated improvements in internal organization, reduced patient wait times, and greater accuracy in information management, contributing to a more satisfactory patient experience and better-informed decision-making by medical staff.
