Non-communicable chronic diseases are the leading cause of premature death worldwide (PAHO, 2022); in Colombia, these conditions account for approximately 70% of annual deaths. This study, currently in Phase III, aims to propose innovative strategies for health promotion and the prevention of non-communicable chronic diseases among university students, grounded in scientific evidence. This longitudinal study with repeated measures involved surveys, a descriptive analysis, and a systematic literature review of publications from 2019 to 2024. A total of 451 articles were identified, with 32 selected to support the proposed strategies. Descriptive data from University Welfare services were also collected. The formulated strategies are organized into six key areas: education on healthy eating, healthy food environments, promotion of physical activity—considering institutional policies—peer collaboration, and the use of technology. The findings underscore the importance of intervening during the university stage, a critical period for the adoption and maintenance of long-term health-related habits.
