Childhood myopia currently represents a growing public health problem worldwide, with important clinical, social and economic implications. In response to this situation, this project proposes a quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional research with the objective of identifying the knowledge, attitudes and practices of the professionals affiliated to the Colombian Federation of Optometrists Association (FEDOPTO) in relation to the clinical approach and control of myopia in children. The aim is to determine the sociodemographic characteristics of the optometrists surveyed, the clinical criteria they consider when choosing treatments, as well as the most used methods to stop the progression of myopia in children. This research seeks to generate relevant information that will contribute to the strengthening of the optometrist's clinical practice in Colombia and to the design of preventive strategies based on scientific evidence.
