BlumStem: Herramientas en el sector floricultor para mitigar los trastornos musculoesqueléticos

| dc.description.abstract | Este proyecto busca mitigar los trastornos musculoesqueléticos (TME) que hay presentes actualmente en el sector. Proponiendo el desarrollo de una herramienta de corte ergonómica orientada a mejorar las condiciones laborales en el sector floricultor colombiano. A partir del método de diseño Human Centered Design (HCD), se analizaron las necesidades físicas y operativas de los trabajadores de empresas de follajes, identificando los principales factores de riesgo asociados a los trastornos musculoesqueléticos (TME) del tren superior. Para su desarrollo se identificaron varios atributos como un sistema graduable que se adapta a las diferentes alturas de los trabajadores y un mecanismo electromecánico que asiste el corte, reduciendo así el esfuerzo físico, los movimientos repetitivos y las posturas forzadas. Blumstem busca la innovación ergonómica dentro del campo floricultor, contribuyendo a la eficiencia, precisión y bienestar de los operarios, al tiempo que promueve la sostenibilidad mediante un diseño duradero y reparable. Generando una solución que mejoren la calidad de vida laboral y eleven los estándares de productividad en la floricultura. | |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | This project aims to mitigate the musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) currently present in the floriculture sector by proposing the development of an ergonomic cutting tool designed to improve working conditions in the Colombian floriculture industry. Using the Human Centered Design (HCD) methodology, the physical and operational needs of foliage company workers were analyzed, identifying the main risk factors associated with upper-body musculoskeletal disorders. The development process resulted in a tool that incorporates an adjustable system adaptable to different worker heights and an electromechanical mechanism that assists in cutting, thereby reducing physical effort, repetitive movements, and awkward postures. Blumstem seeks ergonomic innovation within the floriculture field, contributing to workers’ efficiency, precision, and well-being while promoting sustainability through a durable and repairable design. This proposal generates a solution that improves the quality of work life and raises productivity standards in the floriculture sector. | |
