The objective of this book is to defend the plausibility of a dialetheist approach to one of the central dogmas of Christianity, the doctrine of the incarnation, according to which Jesus Christ is truly divine and truly human. The author maintains that if this doctrine were a dialetheist or contradictory theory – and, from her perspective, there are reasons to think it is – no logical or epistemological problems would arise that could affect it. To demonstrate this, she proposes to respond to two objections that have been made or could be made to a position of this kind. The first is the logical objection, which is actually two: that of illogicality and that of logical absurdity. The second, which she has called the epistemological objection, points to the fact that the doctrine would be irrational if it were a genuine contradiction. Her response to these objections is based on the works of notable contemporary authors, such as Graham Priest, Jc Beall, and James Anderson.spa
