| dc.description.abstractenglish | Objective: To establish the differences in the variables of jump strategy using a force platform between male and female of the Colombian U-20 soccer team. Materials and methods: A camp national soccer team, the data of jump on force platforms of female and male of the national youth soccer team were selected and compared. The variables were described according to measures of central tendency and dispersion for both sexes. Differences between both groups were determined by means of mean or median differences (t-test or Mann-Whitney U-test according to the distribution) in the performance and strategy jump variables. The effect size and the percentage difference were calculated. Results: Males showed higher weight, height and BMI values than females. Men jumped significantly higher than women. They also reflected higher values in the performance variables both in relative and absolute values. Regarding strategy jump variables women presented longer duration times in all phases, but with lower values for strength, power and TDF deceleration in the eccentric phase. Conclusions: The findings revealed differences by gender in multiple variables of the force-time log, particularly of the jumping strategy variables. It could be inferred that jumping strategy is highly linked to CMJ performance and influences it more significantly than gender differences alone. | |
