dc.description.abstractLas infecciones de transmisión sexual son consideradas un problema de salud pública. A nivel mundial se han formulado normas y pautas para abordar esta epidemia. En Colombia se ha evidenciado un aumento de infecciones de transmisión sexual y la población masculina es la más afectada. Con base en el modelo computacional representacional de la mente se indaga sobre el tema a través de los conceptos, las imágenes, reglas, conexiones y analogías que tienen los individuos sobre el condón y su relación con las infecciones de transmisión sexual. Se realizó un estudio cualitativo de tipo fenomenológico hermenéutico a un grupo de hombres con vida sexual activa de la ciudad de Bogotá en el año 2020. La edad promedio fue de 38 años, con un rango de 22 años hasta los 62 años. La representación mental de la sexualidad está ligada a información transmitida a través del entorno social, religioso y educativo, y afecta directamente las pautas y conductas de los individuos. Las reglas sociales, las redes y analogías juegan un papel fundamental en las prácticas sexuales y en la toma de decisiones. Sin embargo, las emociones y el ideal de placer también están ligadas al comportamiento humano y es importante generar una red conjunta que estimule el uso de barreras de protección y genere en el individuo hábitos de protección propia y social.spa
dc.description.abstractenglishThe sexually transmitted infections are considered as a public health problem, norms and guidelines have been formulated globally for managing this epidemic. In Colombia, an increase in sexually transmitted infections has been evidenced in the country of which the male population is the most afected. Therefore, it is proposed to investigate this topic through the computational representational model of the mind was investigated on the subject to know the concepts, images, rules, connections and analogies that individuals have about the condom and its relation with the sexually transmitted infections. In 2020, a qualitative hermeneutical phenomenological study was carried out in a group of men with active sexual life from the city Bogotá.. The age average was 38 years, with a range of 22 to 62 years. The mental representation of sexuality is linked to information transmitted through the social, religious and educational and directly affects the patterns and behaviors of every individual. Social rules, support networks and analogies play a fundamental role in sexual practices and in the decision making. However, emotions and the ideal of pleasure are also linked to human behaviour, and it is important to create a joint network that stimulates the use of protective barriers and generates habits of self-protection and social protection for the individual.eng
