Resumen
En los casos de violencia contra mujeres con VIH, se presentan consecuencias para ellas en todos los ámbitos, incluidas la pérdida del apoyo social, rechazo social, abandono, violación de confidencialidad y aumento en el estigma a la persona diagnosticada. A largo plazo estas situaciones llevan a disolución matrimonial, abandono, culpa y negación a asistir a la consulta en los programas de atención. Dada la evolución del manejo de la infección por el VIH, y para comprender los fenómenos socioculturales que la han acompañado, se hace necesario obtener datos recientes con respecto a la relación entre el VIH y la violencia de pareja contra la mujer. Se realizó esta revisión de literatura científica para conocer en profundidad esta problemática y llevar al lector a una comprensión de la realidad que afecta a las pacientes que viven con el virus. Esta revisión incluyó artículos en inglés y español, disponibles en diferentes bases de datos, como Pubmed, Embase, Scielo, Psychology and Behavioral Science Collection, Academic Search, Ebscohost Collection, sistema integrado de búsqueda CRAI-UR y Opengrey. Se encontró que existe una relación entre los actos de violencia de género y el vivir con infección por el VIH, y que este tipo de violencia tiene repercusiones sociales que, según el grupo etario afectado, llevan a ausentismo y bajo rendimiento escolar, disminución en el rendimiento laboral y baja autoestima, con lo que la mujer experimenta síntomas de depresión y ansiedad.

Abstract
In the context of HIV violence, implied consequences are in all areas for women, including loss of social support, social rejection, abandonment, violation of confidentiality, and increased stigma to the diagnosed person. These situations lead to dissolution of marriage, neglect, guilt, and refusal to attend a care program’s clinics. Given the evolution of the treatment of HIV and to understand the sociocultural phenomena that is accompanies it, it is necessary to obtain the updated data in regards to the influence that HIV can have with violence towards women from their partner. A review of scientific literature was performed in order to obtain a deeper knowledge of this problem and to understand the realities that affect patients living with HIV. This revision included articles in Spanish and English from the following databases: PubMed, Embase, Scielo, Psychology and Behavioral Science Collection, Academic Search, Ebscohost Collection, sistema integrado de búsqueda CRAI-UR and Open grey. The results showed that there is a relationship between acts of gender violence and having HIV infection. This type of violence has social repercussions, which according to the age group leads to absenteeism and low school performance, decrease in work performance, and low self-confidence along with symptoms of depression and anxiety that the women experiences.
