Resumen
El arte y la sociedad están ligados desde el momento en que el hombre lo descubrió e hizo de este un medio de expresión. Al formar parte de la naturaleza humana, es, por ende, completamente social y permanece dentro de cada individuo. Particularmente he experimentado cómo el arte ha tenido impactos significativos en mi desarrollo personal, incluso ayudándome a enfrentar y superar situaciones negativas, pero ¿puede el arte ser un transformador social? Esta investigación no solo pretende demostrar que el arte es un medio de transformación social en potencia, sino dar muestra de que, además de mí, existen comunidades que han logrado el desarrollo y la reivindicación de su contexto a través del arte. Este es el caso de la Comuna 13 de Medellín, un territorio que a pesar de haber sido uno de los más peligrosos de Colombia, actualmente trabaja en una transformación que, en gran medida, se debe a la ayuda de estrategias artísticas. La relación entre la violencia y el arte fue lo que me motivó a indagar más, adentrándome en esta comunidad. Así fue posible evidenciar que cada vez somos más los que nos acercamos al arte buscando respuestas que quizás jamás podríamos encontrar en la vida diaria.

Abstract
Art and society have been known from the moment that human discovered it and made it as a meaning of expression. Being part of our nature, this is completely social and is evident that it is inside every person. In particular, I have experienced the meaning of it on my personal development, including helping me to face negative situations, but could art be a social transformer? This investigation has not only aims to demonstrate that art is a potential meaning of social transformation, but also shows that, in addition to my professional life, there are communities that have been developed their cultural and social context through art. This is the case of the Comuna 13 in Medellín, a territory that has been known as one of the most dangerous places in Colombia, and it is not true because they are currently working on a transformation using artistic strategies. The relationship between violence and art is what motivated me to investigate about this topic and also, what introduces me to this community. Therefore, it is possible to show that nowadays we are more people that is looking for answers in art that we could never find in our daily life.
