A lo largo de los años de ha identificado que el cultivo de papa ha generado un crecimiento en la frontera agrícola hacia las zonas altas de las cordilleras, afectando así a los ecosistemas de alta montaña y el ambiente que los rodea. El presente trabajo busca identificar los impactos ambientales que tiene el cultivo de papa dentro del Distrito de Manejo Integrado del Páramo de Guargua y Laguna Verde en el municipio de Carmen de Carupa. El trabajo tiene como objetivo general la evaluación de impactos ambientales generados por un sistema convencional de producción de cultivo de papa; dentro de los objetivos específicos se busca realizar un diagnóstico del sistema productivo, evaluación de impacto ambiental del cultivo y propuesta de lineamientos de producción sostenible. Para el desarrollo del diseño metodológico se diagnosticaron las actividades que realizan los agricultores por medio de entrevistas realizadas en la Finca El Chorrito durante una reunión que realizó el dueño del predio; con base a los datos obtenidos del diagnóstico se realizó la evaluación de impacto ambiental para definir los procesos que tienen mayor afectación al ambiente, para posteriormente y con base en esta evaluación, establecer, lineamientos de agricultura sostenible y así mitigar los impactos que se generan. Los resultados obtenidos, en primer lugar, permite establecer el diagnostico a partir de las entrevistas analizadas a través de las gráficas, en segundo lugar, la evaluación de impacto mediante la matriz de Leopold y finalmente, en tercer lugar los lineamientos para un mejor desarrollo ecológico de los cultivos.

Abstract
Throughout the years, it has been identified that the cultivation of potatoes has generated a growth in the agricultural frontier towards the high zones of the mountain ranges, thus affecting the high mountain ecosystems and the environment that surrounds them. The present work seeks to identify the environmental impacts that the potato crop has within the Integrated Management District of the Páramo de Guargua and Laguna Verde in the municipality of Carmen de Carupa. The work has as a general objective the evaluation of environmental impacts generated by a conventional potato crop production system; with in the specific objectives, a diagnosis of the productive system, evaluation of the environmental impact of the crop and proposal of sustainable production guidelines is sought. For the development of the methodological design, the activities carried out by farmers were diagnosed through interviews conducted at Finca El Chorrito during a meeting held by the owner of the property; Based on the data obtained from the diagnosis, the environmental impact assessment was carried out to define the processes that have the greatest impact on the environment, so as to be able to define guidelines for sustainable agriculture and thus be able to resolve the impacts that are generated. Obtaining as a result the diagnosis of the interviews demonstrated by means of graphs, the evaluation of Leopold that determines the activities that generate greater impact in the environment and the proposal of guidelines for a better ecological development of the crop.
