In a globalized and highly competitive world, advances in different areas and specially technology have lead educational institutions to create various methods of education such as the one carried out through the process of teaching – learning mediated by technology or virtual education. This not so new, but growing modalities requires teachers, a list of pedagogical skills that provides quality in the process. The objective of this work is to know and understand the characteristics that form the competences of the virtual teacher in the teaching-learning process which guarantee a quality education. This not so new, but growing modality requires teachers, a list of pedagogical skills that provide quality in the process. To this end, the following research question in posed: What pedagogical characteristics are present in the virtual teaching role and what is the perception of the agents involved in this teaching modality? This research is carried out under the qualitative approach, where data was collected through a semi-structured interviews conducted with teaching directors, teachers and accounting students of Universidad del Bosque. The results showed that the pedagogical competencies of the teacher in this modality are giving by pedagogy, the teaching disposition, the teacher’s adaptability, knowledge from its pedagogical knowledge, the correct use of technological tools and communication skills to encourage participation of the agents involved from their role, and their also significantly impacting the student in the learning process.
