This project was developed under the modality of Product Development Framed in Projects of the Faculty of Engineering having as purpose, the design, construction and implementation of the water supply system for the Laboratory of Agrotechnical Experimentation and Renewable Energies of the Faculty of Engineering (LEATYER) of El Bosque University, Campus Chía. For the realization of the project, different phases were established, in the first, the adaptation of the rainwater reservoir was carried out, implementing a filtering system according to the results given by the physical-chemical analysis carried out, from the reservoir comes 75% of the water resource , taking into account the 2000L of storage, which is distributed approximately 150 meters to the storage tanks by a pumping system with a pressure of 60 PSI, this distributed resource complies with the water quality regulation for agricultural use according to the Decree 1076 of 2015. In the next phase, the storage tanks area was adapted, where two tanks were available in series of 1000 L each, a bypass system with the aqueduct which provides 15% of the water resource, and a second pumping system with a pressure of 45 PSI to make the distribution to the different LEATYER areas (area of domes and area of cultivation in soil), in the last phase the distribution of water resources in soil cultivation was carried out, taking into account the requirements given by the faculty: an available area of 217.5 m2, 16 beds of culture of 6.65 x 1.25 meters, 4 of them with micro sprinkler irrigation and 12 with drip irrigation, additionally in the soil cultivation area an auxiliary water outlet wrench was available for the different cleaning or irrigation tasks, an automated irrigation system for the beds of cultivation and a communication system via WIFI with the user for the control of the system.
