Abstract
The rehabilitation of patients with tunnel syndrome is sought. Thanks to the studies focused on biocomposites made with natural fibers and epoxy matrix where their degradation time is lower compared to other materials used as petrochemical polymers. We analyzed the technical feasibility to determine the usability of a biocomposite reinforced with fiberglass fiber in forearm prosthesis; Mechanical tests of flexion and traction were made and it was evidenced that the mechanical behavior of the biocomposite is due to the combination of the materials (resin 20% and fibers 80%); A physical and morphological analysis was made with SEM and the affinity between the matrix and the fiber was verified. With the analysis of the elements. of treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome and biocomposite. This verifies the viability of the biocomposite to be used in splints for the treatment of tunnel syndrome as positive.
